Birthday Weekend Recap

I have the greatest husband!
If you missed it, Trevor wrote me a blog poem. Read it HERE
That in fact was the third poem he has written me, what a romantic.

It doesn't stop there. He planned the whole day on my birthday complete with an hour by hour agenda!

He started the day out making a delicious french toast breakfast.

We made a picnic lunch and hit the road.

We soon came across nothing...

Where were we headed you ask?

The Spiral Jetty!!! In the Great Salt Lake.
I was so excited.
We knew it was early in the year so it would be under water but it was still really neat.  Can you see it? We will definitely go back when it has resurfaced.
We had a blast and took a ton of pictures.
(Bridget was a bit on the tired side.)

Not far from the Jetty is the Golden Spike historical park... we couldn't not stop.
We went into Salt Lake for dinner eating at Frida Bistro.
It was oh so good!
After a scrumptious meal he took me to Bruges Waffles and Frites for dessert.
yummy.

Rating out of 5
Frida Bistro: 4
(Food has wonderful flavor, very tasty. It is pricey. Left feeling satisfied not full.)
Bruges Waffles and Frites: 4
(I have been to Bruges, Belgium so I am a little biased but they do a fantastic job. My dessert stomach was hoping the waffles would be bigger, but my thighs said to stop complaining.

Thank You Trevor for such an awesome birthday!!!

  2. What a great day! I look at some of those pictures and I see faces a lot like Hailey. I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it. Maybe these two will share more than just a middle name.

For some reason not all my comments make it to you. Not sure if it's how I've looked at your blog or what. Maybe I'm just not as funny as I think I am so the powers that be lose my comments in cyberspace. :-) Oh well! Love your posts!!
