August, say what?

It has seriously been a month! I haven't even looked at my blog or any other blogs in weeks. It's been a busy one.
A lot has been happening. Mostly fun stuff.
Actually all fun stuff.

Except for that I stopped breast feeding Bridget yesterday. It's breaking my heart. And my boobs are incredibly sore. And full. And heavy. Strapped down by 3 sort of too small sports bras.

Moving on, here is a sampling of our month of August:

You forgive me?

The Side No One Has Seen Before

It's been three years now.
Not that the bloom has rubbed off,
but I think it's time to show you the less glamorous side of June 6th 2009.

not a fan of the lipstick

 .....not.....quite......there......grunt.

 We are really good dancers.

This wasn't on purpose.

Happy Anniversary My Love.
Time has told me that I love you immeasurably more today than I did on this day three years ago.

Weekend Update

We had a wonderful weekend full of incredibly happy events and lots of family.

Trevor's brother B.J., his sweet wife Stacy, and their darling daughter Carli, were sealed in the Mount Timpanogos LDS Temple on Saturday.

It was wonderful to see them become an eternal family.

On Friday Trevor came home from work early so I was able to go to the temple to be there when Stacy went for the first time.

It was the longest I have ever been away from Bridget.

A whole three hours.

Three hours doesn't sound too long, right?

I didn't think so either.

But apparently it was long enough.

Bridget chose the only time I wasn't within 30 feet of her to rollover for the first time!

Twice actually!

And guess what? She hasn't rolled over since.

Believe me, I have tried to coax her to it.

At first I felt a little betrayed.

How could she go and roll over when I wasn't there?

Then I realized, it was really special for Trevor to be able to be the sole witness and get to experience her great developmental milestone.

He was so excited to tell me all about it.

And I am sure I will be there for other big events in her life.
As long as I don't leave her side, not even for three hours.

My Best Friend's Wedding

Elizabeth Goold got married this weekend.
She was the most beautiful bride.

In this picture I am sure I had said something very sentimental and we were sharing a moment... or we had both grabbed each others butts.
I can't remember.

There are seven of us from college that are best friends.
Unfortunately we didn't have Meagan Harding with us.
It was a really dumb excuse like being due to have her baby that day and not allowed to travel, lame. Just kidding Meags, but we still really missed you, it wasn't the same without you.
 Haley, Nycole, Jennie, Brianna, April
(Liz & Meagan not pictured)

Oh, wait, here we all are.

Like I said before, Liz is my best friend.

She is the kind of friend that I can call and she will give me a better perspective on a tough situation, even if it's not what I want to hear.

I truly believe long distance relationships can work out because when Liz moved to Texas almost 4 years ago, we would talk several times a week, if not everyday.
I knew more about a bunch of people in Dallas whom I had never met then I did about my own neighbors.

Liz is the kind of friend that will not hesitate to done the spandex, even if it's not necessary.

Whenever I have a security question that asks who my best friend is I am never sure if I originally wrote Liz or Trevor.

Some of my absolutely favorite memories are because of Liz. read them here or here or even here.

I love you Lizzy, congratulations.

I'm Famous!

There are a lot of blogs out there: personal blogs, health blogs, DIY blogs, political blogs ... Lets just say if you can think of it there is probably a blog out there about it, well at the very least

a post.

With the plethora of info / pictures / talent out there in cyber space you can imagine my surprise when I got an email from my aunt Lori telling me she was surfing the web about weddings one day when she came accross a website:

A Simple LDS Wedding

the ultimate Guide to your Temple Wedding.

Just like any good "all you need to know" blog it has all you need to know. Well she was checking out the "Uniquely You" tab and saw some pictures of someone she recognized... ME!!!!

I have no idea who's website it is, I like to think I was an uninvited guest blogger.

(we actually show up in the post TWICE, first with my "ugly cake" {slightly offended}, and then we are towards the bottom when it shows the bride and groom leaving the reception, we are the ones with the archway of flowers.)

So go check me out, just so you can say "I know that girl"

because that's what I totally did.

THE WEDDING

Trevor's brother B.J. got married to his sweetheart Stacy! They had their reception March 6th and let me tell you it was a PARTY!
WE LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!

Stacy wanted the whole wedding party to be dressed in 1920's attire, which made it a lot of fun.
I felt the need to bust out in the Charleston all night.

The reception was B-E-A-UTIFUL and I am so glad we had another reason to dress up!

Trevor and his Buddies

Dusty and Doug were able to make it as companions to the reception.

The signing table. We had one of our wedding pictures and a picture of each of our parents on their wedding day. Really fun to see them all side by side.
(And yes that would be my father standing next to my mom, and yes he does have hair!)

The Refreshment Table, Delicious! Attribute all this hard work to my sister Monica who made all the cakes!

My dear sweet friend Jenessa!

THE CAKE!
I never understood the tradition of a really expensive cake that you cut and then shove in each others faces. SO I decided I wanted a PINATA! My sister Sarah made this incredible wedding cake shaped pinata! She did a fantastic job!

When the time came to "cut the cake" we hit the Pinata! It was so much fun and it made the party atmosphere just like I wanted!

Sarah did such a good job making that pinata hold up, but luckily Trevor is a heavy hitter so he was able to get the delicious contents out.

We did it!

Everyone run and get the candy! There was some really good stuff in there, including boxes of raisins! :)
The rain held off so I was still able to get my dance.

We danced our first dance to The Veronica's song, Speechless.

The Daddy Daughter Dance

We had a big competition to see who would catch the bouquet! I decided since I was going the less traditional route with a pinata cake I would keep going and invite everyone to catch the bouquet....even Trevor is down there....

Lizzie ended up with it!

But Jeff caught it!

Time to leave!

The wonderful women and my mom's dearest friends who helped with everything in the kitchen! Thank you so much!
