Trevor and his Buddies

Dusty and Doug were able to make it as companions to the reception.

The signing table. We had one of our wedding pictures and a picture of each of our parents on their wedding day. Really fun to see them all side by side.
(And yes that would be my father standing next to my mom, and yes he does have hair!)

The Refreshment Table, Delicious! Attribute all this hard work to my sister Monica who made all the cakes!

My dear sweet friend Jenessa!

THE CAKE!
I never understood the tradition of a really expensive cake that you cut and then shove in each others faces. SO I decided I wanted a PINATA! My sister Sarah made this incredible wedding cake shaped pinata! She did a fantastic job!

When the time came to "cut the cake" we hit the Pinata! It was so much fun and it made the party atmosphere just like I wanted!

Sarah did such a good job making that pinata hold up, but luckily Trevor is a heavy hitter so he was able to get the delicious contents out.

We did it!

Everyone run and get the candy! There was some really good stuff in there, including boxes of raisins! :)
The rain held off so I was still able to get my dance.

We danced our first dance to The Veronica's song, Speechless.

The Daddy Daughter Dance

We had a big competition to see who would catch the bouquet! I decided since I was going the less traditional route with a pinata cake I would keep going and invite everyone to catch the bouquet....even Trevor is down there....

Lizzie ended up with it!

But Jeff caught it!

Time to leave!

The wonderful women and my mom's dearest friends who helped with everything in the kitchen! Thank you so much!

A video of the bouquet toss:

Tulip Festival

We are going back in time a little bit. I didn't have my camera cord for a long time so I am posting the pics I took but never got off my camera until now.
During the month of May, Thanksgiving Point has a big Tulip Festival. My dad is a Master Gardner and teaches gardening classes there. He helped with the festival this year so my mom and I went to check it out.

There were so many tulips everywhere and it was absolutely breathtaking! I did not take a whole lot of pictures but I would highly recommend everyone going in the future.

We were able to take the pictures in the Salt Lake Capitol, and in Memory Grove Park.

What Preparations?

So as the wedding day draws nearer and nearer, more and more people ask me how wedding plans are coming along.

Well I really wanted to show you how the wedding preps are coming so I took all these pictures of sewing machines and fabric, flowers and weeds, pretty much my mom and my dad.

They have been absolutely fantastic, my mom has pretty much sewn EVERYTHING shy of my dress, and my dad has labored daily in the yard, slaving away over flowers and trees and waterfalls etc. etc.

I took all these great pictures and as I went to upload them I realized I don't have a cord. I pretty much packed up my life and sent it with Trevor when he moved to Philly 6 weeks ago. It's been kind of frustrating because I won't be able to find something then I remember that the majority of my stuff is 3000 miles away. Although I think Trev is suffering more then I am. He called me one night and said "This is torture, I come home at night and I walk in the door and it smells like you, and all of your stuff is here, but you aren't here." I actually thought that was really sweet and was kind of happy to know that it wasn't just me that was having a hard time with the separation.

Anyway there you have it, if you really want to know how preparations are coming you will just have to come to the reception and see for yourself if we got everything done! Hope to see you there, it's going to be a party!

Where In The World Is.....

See if you can guess where Trevor is based on the following pictures: They progressively get easier so the sooner you guess the more impressive. Can you tell the city by the skyline....?

Still not quite sure? How about this place, do you know what happened here?

Maybe this will help: it's the "City of Brotherly Love"

If you are like me and associate everything with food, this might be the giveaway...

If you don't know after this next picture then the public school system has failed you!

Yes that's right, it's PHILADELPHIA!!!!!! Philly is the home to many amazing historic events, the cheese steak, and soon to be Mr. and Mrs. Trevor Millar! As you can see by the picture below Trevor spent the last 3 days driving to Philly with his buddy Bryce Reed, they headed out for some Summer Sales. Luckily I get to fly to Philly after our honeymoon instead of driving. Trevor and I are hoping while we are out there to find permanent jobs so we can stay on the East Coast...Wish us luck!

The List

A couple years ago I wrote a list of things I want to do, or see, or the kind of person I want to become throughout my life. I wrote the list and then I decided that as I completed each item I would document it with a picture and kind of make a scrapbook out of it. Well the time has come to check off a couple of the things on my list.... Here is my proof....

Learn how to drive a stick shift car
Trevor felt like now was the time that I learn so he made me drive his brother, BJ's jeep. I was very consistent in stalling at every stop-sign we came to, sometimes I was an overachiever and I stalled twice. I guess I was frustrating the lady behind me because she ended up passing us illegally, we smiled and waved. I guess technically I wouldn't say I actually learned to drive a stick shift, but I made it home, so that is worth some admiration.

Sing Karaoke at a Real Karaoke Bar.

Now I understand why this could be a more enjoyable activity when one is drunk. I was absolutely HORRIBLE. I know I can't sing, but I didn't realize I was That bad. Luckily Doug, who can sing, came to my rescue. I doubt I will do it again.

PBR

Yes, Yes that is right, Professional Bull Riding! While in Nampa, do as the Namponites! We were able to take part in the "toughest sport in the world." And....since when do I pass up an opportunity to dress up? Stacy did my hair...I never knew my hair could reach that high, nice work Stace!!
BJ and Stacy!
I don't know how anyone could resist her with those red boots and fringed vest, not to mention BJ's exceptionally tall hat, so hot!
Jamie and Terance!
I thought I was sitting next to some legit cowboys with all their whoops and holloring, it was fantastic!
I wish I had some pictures of the actual Bull riders but we took all these pictures before it started and then my camera ran out of batteries...

Engagement Pictures!

It's time! The wedding plans are coming along and with the wedding roughly 2.5 months away, it means it's time for some pictures!
My sister's mother-in-law Joeen Hill was extremely generous and offered to take our pictures, she did a fantastic job.

After we changed clothes my mom took some pictures as well, she also did an incredible job. We were really lucky to have two great photographers! It might be anti-climactic, but these are the pictures we have chosen to go on our announcement. We had so many wonderful pictures to choose from, it was very difficult to narrow it down.
